About SachetBank

Banking on a Cleaner Africa

Our Mission

SachetBank Africa was founded to address one of the most pressing environmental challenges in African communities: plastic sachet waste. Our mission is to clean up neighborhoods by empowering residents to turn their plastic waste into tangible household value, starting with pure water sachets.

How SachetBank Works

We operate a decentralized network of local node terminals hosted by neighborhood shop owners. Residents register their WhatsApp number and bring clean, dry water sachets to these terminals.

Each kilogram of waste is weighed, recorded, and immediately minted into points in their digital wallet. Residents can then redeem these points at the counter for essential household food items like rice, beans, garri, and eggs.

Upcycling & DunsinCrafts

We do not let this plastic end up in landfills. Through our exclusive partnership with downstream fashion house DunsinCrafts, the collected pristine sachet nylons are woven and upcycled into high-end luxury art and eco-friendly fashion. Because of this high-quality requirement, SachetBank maintains strict guidelines on only accepting clean, dry sachets.
